I DD mine so if I could get these wheels by the next time I change tires, I would do it I think. Probably has a little lift in there too. 15x7" Compomotive TH2.

I like the idea and even the look of a lifted 1st or 2nd gen CR-V... but with the money spent you could’ve gotten something with real 4WD.
Still cool though for those willing to do it.

However driving a 4Runner every day to work is a lot more money in fuel. This thing has traction control and it works really well, I have been out driving recently in this deluge of fucking water being thrown at us and I could feel it working away, no slipping around much. I’m not going to go any further than a dirt road or to Tahoe in the snow with this. So far a little ground clearance and the capability it has is enough for normal use. If I go off road it will be at my dad’s in MT with one of his rigs.

Sounds cool then. We have a 2nd gen CR-V. It doesn’t have quite as much aftermarket support as the first gen, and I’ve not really had to utilize the RT-4WD much.
What gas mileage are you getting though, because we get maybe 23-24 combined. Granted it’s a K24 vs the B20

I have wondered if the RDX turbo motor can be swapped easilly or if there was a decent turbo for it.

I don’t really know my exact mileage but my friend has a 4runner and we live fairly close to each other and we work in the same union, he pays more for gas and has more trouble parking in city garages. Mine is a 2nd gen, 2006, not those 1st ones. But I have seen them done like this.

K24 in the CR-Vs is low compression and designed for more torque. A supercharger might make more sense.

Oh ok. Our is an ‘03.
Yeah I’ve seen a few 2nd gens lifted, but it’s much more common to lift the 1st gens.
